ARDMORE, OK -- With Christmas just three weeks away, local charities are making a plea for help. They say they have fallen way below the minimum donations they need to help area children. Teddy Safo has more on how simple it is to give a child a happy holiday.

SHERMAN, TX -- Attendance zones are on the agenda for the Sherman Independent School District school board at a meeting set for Monday night. Administrators have said about 500 elementary school students could be going to different schools next year because two new elementary schools will be open.

ARDMORE, OK -- The annual tree lighting is set for Tuesday night in Downtown Ardmore. The fun is scheduled to begin around 5:30 at Central Park where they will have live entertainment, and we'll count down to flip the switch on the big tree.

MARIETTA, OK -- The United Way in Love County have exceeded their contribution goals much quicker than they had anticipated. The non-profit organization received an award Tuesday at the Clay Cooley Chevrolet dealership in Marietta for raising almost $13,000 before January.

CALERA, OK -- Fifteen members of the student council at Calera High School showed their thanks in a unique way on Monday. Until Wednesday at five o'clock, the students will stay outside and sleep in boxes without any conveniences.
