BONHAM TX--The Bonham independent School District is getting set to take a big technological step forward thanks to a sizeable grant.
The 800 thousand dollar grant will be shared with the Arp school district, in east Texas, which collaborated with Bonham in applying for the funds.
In all, 11 school districts across Texas were awarded the connections grant to improve technology in schools.
Bonham superintendent Sonny Cruse says the funds will go to staff development and to meeting the goal of getting a laptop computer for every student at Bonham high school.

"Gone are the days where you put everything on the chalk board and you stand and lecture, The instruction needs to be highly interactive, it needs to engage the students so, that is what technology has done the appropriate use of technology helps engage students" said Cruse.

Cruse expects to begin training teachers on how to use the new technology this semester and begin rolling out the new laptops to students before the end of this school year.

Poor Bonham Resident...can't think of an original cutting remark. Typical.

Oh dear......what will I ever do? You really got me About Time. Glad to see you can use the dictionary. Oh...and Billy Ray....very nice. I love the sarcasm. Good stuff.

No, Bonham Resident, I used the word correctly. Obtuse: Adjective - not quick or alert in perception, feeling, or intellect; not sensitive or observant; dull. Not sharp, acute, or pointed; blunt in form. Take your pick.

LET ME TELL YOU PANNY WAISTED CITY FOLK SOMETHING, WE DONT NEED NO STINKING GOVARNMANT HANDOUTS IN THIS HERE TOWN!! I WENT TO BONHAM SCHOOL BACK IN THE GOOD OLE DAYS OF DAWSON AND IF WE NEEDED A NEW CHICKEN COOP WE WOULD JUST BUILD IT OURSELFS. WHATA YOU GONNA DO WITH 800 THOUSAND DOLLARS ANYWAY, BUY A BUNCH OF STINKING LIDAYOURTURE BOOKS OR SOMETHING? WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IS INVEST IN A NEW DIESEL MECHANIC OR LUBE RACK TECHNICIAN PROGRAM OR SOMETHING THAT WOULD BENAFIT OUR KIDS.

Oh, and by the way, About Time.....you might want to check the meaning of obtuse....kind of thinking you used that word in an incorrect manner! I believe my thoughts were very clear on this manner.....obtuse has nothing to do with aggression. Way to go you "well educated" idiot.

Ok, a significant difference? Bonham lacked two percent being exemplary. So, I guess you are saying that your district is only two percent above "abysmal"? Sounds like a great district when using Bonham as the standard. Oh, and congratulations on your daughter and your grandaughter! I am glad to see that you raised children that are able to function in their respective schools (not that anyone is impressed, I guess I should share at this point how successful my children are in the Bonham school district, but I won't). Maybe you can be a better moral example by not trash talking a district you obviously know nothing about! Speaking of repressed aggression, why exactly do you feel the need to bash Bonham when your offspring go to another school district? That shows your true ignorance or your bottled anymosity.

About time;too bad you backwoods rednecks didnt want a College in your town, maybe you could recrute good teachers, if there was a College campus in your backwater, murder infested, people disappearing one horse town.

Goodness gracious, Bonham Resident...such animosity. I do hate to burst your bubble, but I am none of your suppositions. In fact, I am well educated (not in Bonham), have no need for drugs, work for a very good living, and my daughter has been raised by myself and my husband. She and her husband have a daughter that is Jr. Beta with a straight A average (again, not in Bonham). Surely your defense mechanism is working overtime - is that a result of repressed aggression or are you just generally obtuse? As for TEA, I am aware of its function and have had the opportunity of perusal on numerous occasions. Our school district is rated Exemplary. I believe Bonham ISD is simply recognized. Significant difference.

Hey About Time, if I had my guess you are probably a high school drop out, a heroine addict, on welfare, and have kids but they are probably being raised by an ex-wife or your parents. For your information, this Bonham district is one of the best in the area. Go to the TEA website and check it out.(TEA stands for Texas Education Agency, not something you drink) You need to learn how to get the right information before you open your mouth, you pathetic redneck.
