DENISON, Tex. -- Officials at Grayson County College signed an agreement with Texas Womans University on Friday morning.
The agreement allows students from GCC to use their honors credits towards the Honors Program at TWU.
It allows GCC to offer more opportunities to students as they transfer to a four-year school.
"That’s a formal articulation agreement where we recognize each others programs, course offerings, and we agree to work together to partner and share opportunities," said Honors Program coordinator Jean Sorensen, PhD.
The Honors Program started in 1989 with a single class of 15 students. It expanded in 2005 to over 100 students in five classes.
