SHERMAN, Tex. -- Students and teachers at Neblett Elementary in Sherman got together to learn about fire prevention on Monday morning.

Kids at Neblett Elementary got a lesson in fire prevention and safety for Sherman’s "Klown Kompany".

Through the use of skits and funny antics, they teach very important lessons on how to call 911, what fire prevention is, and how to stay safe during flooding.

"You can come in here with all the clown make up and all props, and all the things we do with the skits, and they're just a lot more receptive. They pay more attention, and I think absorb the information a lot more than what they would if we just came in here in normal clothes." said ‘Officer Cuffs’ of the Klown Kompany.

This is a part of Sherman’s Fire Safety Program, and ‘Officer Cuffs’ and friends will be visiting more schools throughout the fall.
