Austin College president to step down

SHERMAN, Tex. -- Austin College president Dr. Oscar Page announced Tuesday he is stepping down.

The fourteenth president of the college says that he intends to step down as president of the school by June 30 of next year.

By the time page leaves next year, he will have served fifteen years as president.

Page is credited with bringing national recognition to the college and increasing the college’s financial standing.

As for why he's leaving, Page says it is time for a new season of leadership.
