ARDMORE, Okla. -- The kids at Plainview Primary School received a treat Friday morning as dignitaries were on hand to celebrate that school's “Great Expectations” award.
This is the fifth year that Plainview Primary has been given the honor. Representatives Piatt and Hyman were there and spoke to the kids about how proud they should be of their school. Principal Lisa Moore said Great Expectations is more than an award, it is a philosophy.
"We try to build a rapport and an atmosphere of excellence in our school, and I think that does make our community proud," Moore said.
The kids and the adults celebrated with cake afterwards.
