DENISON, Tex. -- It's not flashy like “CSI”, but some law enforcement are learning about forensics Wednesday as more than 100 people are meeting at the Grayson County College Center for Workplace Learning.

This is the fifth year for the law enforcement conference. Speakers are presenting all throughout the day including drugs in schools, forensic art, firearms identification and more.

A Texas Rangers forensics artist draws sketches of suspects, victims, and crime scenes to help solve cases.

"We certainly need more forensic artists in the world. There are so many cases, in a state this big especially. I would always encourage more people to go into forensic artwork. There's a lot of fields you can go into, even if you can't draw you can do other things," forensic artist Suzanne Birdwell says.

Denison High School and Grayson County College students attended along with local law enforcement officers.
