ARDMORE, Okla. -- It was fun in the sun for kids at Will Rogers Elementary in Ardmore on Friday as they held the first “All-School Field Day” at Noble Stadium.

More than 500 kids participated in everything from bowling to tug-o-war to even making giant bubbles.

The field day is something the younger kids have done in the past, but this year organizers decided to expand it to include all Will Rogers students.

“We had a lot of community support and donations, and also our students deserve it. We've met our literacy goals, and the teachers are pretty happy about that," teacher Myiesha Antwine said.

All proceeds from concessions and t-shirt sales go to help pay for things like new computers and technology.
