DURANT, Okla. -- Durant's High School principal is stepping down later this month. Steve Wlodarcyzk is leaving the district to take a new position in Oklahoma City.
Wlodarcyzk will serve as the assistant executive director of the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administrators.
Durant superintendent Jason Simeroth says Wlodarcyzk has been a longtime supporter of COSA, so when the organization’s former director resigned, it was a position that Wlodarcyzk couldn't refuse.
Simeroth says he and the two assistant high school principals will share the duties until a permanent hire is made.
Wlodarcyzk’s last day is set for September 30.
