High school students pray together at See You at the Pole

SHERMAN, Tex. -- High school students across Texoma gathered Wednesday morning for the annual "See You at the Pole" event to pray.

This year’s theme was "Speak Lord, for your servant is listening."

Paige Armstrong, president of First Priority, a group who got together Wednesday morning in Sherman, said, "People often come and share their hearts and minds, and they know that it's going to stay at the pole, and God's going to get the glory, and that they're going to grow as Christians through the experience."

The annual event began with a small group of teenagers at Burleson High School in Burleson, Texas, in 1990 who wanted to make a difference. It is believed 45,000 students participated in over four states the first year.
