ARDMORE, Okla. -- Video games are being used at the high school level to contrast different styles of teaching in Ardmore. It is all part of a three-year study being done by the University of Oklahoma.
Students are given video game systems where they can play a variety of games testing different areas of study. Those results are then sent back to a central location where they are analyzed.
Officials say they want to find out how students react to a new form of learning, and so far it seems to be working.
"It lets us interact with the kids, it helps us get with the freshmen and teach them how to do stuff. It’s pretty cool," Ardmore High School student Jared Tibbs says.
