SHERMAN, TX - Sherman Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Al Hambrick received high marks from the Board of Trustees in his latest evaluation.
In a meeting this week, Sherman School Board Trustees gave Hambrick praise for his performance over the past year, and extended his contract for an additional year.
Trustees say that improved academic performance and responsible budgeting are just a few of the areas in which Dr. Hambrick has excelled.
"He is very much an academic and educational leader and is in tune with what it is we need to help our teachers and students," school board president Kate Whitfield says.
Dr. Hambrick has served as Sherman ISD's superintendent since 2006.
