TEA releases accountability ratings for Texas schools

AUSTIN - The Texas Education Agency has released state accountability ratings for districts and schools, and some Texoma schools didn't make the grade.

The ratings are based on how students score on standardized tests, graduation rates and drop-out rates. Schools are placed into one of four categories: exemplary, recognized, academically acceptable and unacceptable.

We looked to see how Texoma's schools fared, and while most districts and campuses were acceptable or better, some received an "academically unacceptable" rating, including Dillingham Intermediate in Sherman, Gainesville High School, and Paris Junior High.
