Jesse is an award winning journalist who is proud to be a part of the Texoma community and the News 12 team.

He came to News 12 in 2014 after teaching mass communication and television broadcasting for eight years at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Okla.

Jesse is from Freedom, Okla., a small town in the northwestern part of the state. He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a B.S. degree in mass communication. He also holds a M.A. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and a Ph.D. in Education Technology Management.

Jesse has been honored by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters for Best Morning Newscast in 2014 and by the Oklahoma Associated Press Broadcasters for Best Early Newscast in 2014. He has also been honored by the Society of Professional Journalists and the Oklahoma Broadcast Association for excellence in local news coverage.

During his years teaching, Jesse won several teaching awards and he and his students won multiple awards for excellence in broadcast journalism.

Prior to teaching, Jesse worked at KSWO-TV in Lawton, Okla., as a producer/reporter. He has also served as news director and anchor for the Wright Wradio network in Weatherford, Okla., and as an associate producer at KWTV in Oklahoma City.

Jesse enjoys getting to know people, and he and his family enjoy being a part of the Texoma communities.

Jesse and his wife, Amanda, live in Denison with their three children, Brayden, Parker, and Mia.
