Dan couldn’t be more happy to come back to Texoma to anchor the evening newscasts at KXII.
Before joining KXII, he served as an anchor and reporter for KOCO in his hometown of Oklahoma City.
He’s also worked as an investigative reporter in Florida where he covered some of the biggest stories to ever hit that state. Dan stayed busy in his 8 years there, from the BP oil spill to reporting live in several hurricanes.
Just after a devastating earthquake struck Haiti, Dan hopped on a missionary plane and reported on the need for relief response in areas that had seen little or no outside help. He tracked medical supplies donated by local people all the way to hospitals that were overwhelmed by people injured in the massive earthquake.
Dan started his career in Oklahoma City as an Associate Producer but quickly moved on to reporting and anchoring. One of his stops landed him in Pauls Valley, where he and his wife Sadie were married.
Dan grew up in Oklahoma City and spent a lot of his youth working at his family’s appliance store in Edmond where he learned the value of a hard days work. An Oklahoma State University alumnus, Dan loves cheering on the Cowboys in person. He’s also looking forward to spending more time on Lake Texoma. One of his favorite things to do is taking his wife and daughter along to teach them how to wake board, water ski and fish.
