TRENTON, Tex. (KXII) - A car and a Trenton ISD bus collided after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, sending three people to the hospital.

The driver of the car was flown to a Plano hospital in serious condition.

One high school student was airlifted to a Plano hospital in serious condition. Another student was taken to TMC-Bonham for treatment.

The cause of accident is undetermined, authorities said.

There were about 15 students riding the bus.

The father of the 16-year-old, Jerry Keeton, says he was sleeping when heard about the accident.

He says his daughter hit her head on the window and suffered a head injury when the bus was rear-ended.

Keeton says police told him the driver may have been texting at the time of the accident.

Keeton says his daughter is conscious but will be getting an MRI.
