‘A Magnolia Christmas’ takes over Durant’s Main Street

DURANT, Okla. (KXII) Durant held their annual Christmas parade Tuesday night.

Hundreds of people lined the streets to watch more than 50 local groups and organizations make their way down Main.

KXII meteorologists Tom Hale and Wava Denito rode through while KXII’s Jeremy Thomas and Brittany Harlow judged the entrants.

Durant also had its annual tree lighting in the square.

And even the Grinch got into the holiday spirit.

Organizers said it was a great turnout and they expect the event to be even bigger next year.
