ADA, Okla. (KXII) -- An Ada school teacher has been placed on paid leave by the superintendent.
Superintendent Mike Anderson says the district was recently informed of, "potentially inappropriate conduct outside the school district involving one of its teachers."
In a statement Anderson said, "as educators, we understand and fully assume the responsibility of ensuring we provide our students with a safe learning environment."
He also said, "We feel this decision is in the best interest of both our students and the district."
Anderson didn't include any details of the misconduct and hasn't identified the teacher involved, and has declined all media request for interviews on the matter.
