DENISON, Tex. (KXII) -- The 17th Annual Grayson County Holiday Lights at Loy Lake kicks off Friday and this year is the first time they're using all LED lights.
There are more than 350,000 lights in more than 60 displays, including three new ones this year.
The free light show is open until Dec. 31, right off of Loy Lake Road and Highway 75.
Organizer Jeff Schneider said he's been working with the light show since it started and it is a joy to get to do for his community.
"You're out here putting them up and you're saying boy this is hard and it takes a lot of time and effort, but then when the cars start driving through and the children are just smiling from ear to ear, it's just a great thing to see the people come through and the amount of enjoyment that they get from having this," Schneider said.
This event is open to the public from 5:30 to 10 every night. It does run off of donations, which can be given at the end of your drive.
