ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) -- Ardmore Police are warning residents about a scam targeting AT&T cell phone users.

Ardmore Police are warning residents about a scam targeting AT&T cell phone users.

Police say the caller ID shows up as AT&T customer service.

The scammers tell customers they are making changes to accounts and ask for your birthday and social security number to verify your information.

Police say the company already has access to that information if you are a current AT&T customer, and are reminding people to never give out any personal information over the phone.
