ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - An Ardmore Church celebrates Easter with a beloved annual tradition.
It's the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ - brought to life by a cast and crew of 50 people.
"I've got a passion for the gospel," Eythan Tibbs, who plays Jesus, said. "I love to see people encounter Christ for the first time and so that's what we do this for."
Senior Pastor Walt Spradling of the CrystalRock Cathedral tells us they've been putting on free Easter productions for about 40 years.
"When you begin to see the scriptures come alive to you and all these young people portraying the parts that they are, it really touches the heart," Pastor Spradling said.
"Breaking Chains" has a two hour run time.
They've had a showing every day since Friday.
"It touches so many people's lives and it's changed my life," church member Kathy Kerley said. "I come every year so I think everyone should come."
