Ardmore home ruled as total loss after fire

ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - A house fire in Ardmore led to about four acres around the home being burned.

Ardmore firefighters say they got the call around 3 p.m. to Mary Niblack Road near MClaine.

They believe the embers from the house fire caught onto the grass -causing about four acres to burn.

Firefighters say a family of three was inside but all made it out okay.

The fire also destroyed a couple of sheds around their home and their car.

Firefighters battled the flames for a few hours but were able to stop it from spreading to nearby homes.

The house is a total loss.

The cause is under investigation.
