ANNA, Texas (KXII) -- Anna police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of 25-year-old Corey Lamar, who has lived in Anna for the past few months.

Police arrested 20-year-old Ruben Jenkins Saturday at around 11:30 p.m. They said the two had a co-worker type relationship.

Police said the two worked together at a local construction company.

Lamar was found unconscious in his home off Creekside Drive when some suspects drove by and shot him from their car, police said. Lamar was transported to a McKinney hospital and died shortly after.

Police said they are still looking for more suspects.

"I like living here its small it's a tight knit community," Teresa Kneely said. "But I guess with the growth and things like that it can happen."

Jenkins is being held at the Collin County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.

It is the Anna Police Department's first ever homicide case.
