Bryan County man sentenced for fighting police officer

DURANT, Okla. (KXII) -- A Bryan county man accused of trying to fight an officer as he was being arrested months ago was sentenced to six years behind bars after pleading no contest to the charges.

Harley Wright was first arrested in April for pulling a pocket knife on his cousin in a fight. As he was being arrested, Wright tried to fight the deputy who was cuffing him.

Wright bonded out after that first incident, but he was arrested again for not showing up to court in November.
