ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol says they got a call to help Ardmore Police in a car chase earlier Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say Archie Haddock, 28, was behind the wheel of the car that was speeding down I-35 through love county toward Texas at speeds of up to 110 miles an hour.

Ardmore Police said the chase started when Haddock took off after allegedly shoplifting from a local store.

The chase ended on U.S. Highway 82 when the car hit a guardrail.

Two passengers were detained and taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries from the crash.

A Lindsay Police Officer was also treated at a hospital for injuries after his unit was struck by the suspect's car.

Haddock is now booked in the Cooke County Jail, awaiting arraignment.

He faces multiple charges.
