Choctaw County man arrested for trafficking meth for the second time in a month

HUGO, Okla. (KXII) -- A Choctaw County man is behind bars for the second time in the past month for trafficking methamphetamine.

34-year-old Marcus Mitchell of Soper was arrested Wednesday on charges of trafficking meth, first degree burglary and attempting to escape lawful detention.

Hugo Police say they received an anonymous tip that drug related activity was happening at the Lowery Parkway complex.

When officers arrived two men, including Mitchell, ran off.

They chased Mitchell into a residence where he was arrested.

Police found over 20 grams of meth that Mitchell discarded during the chase.

The other man involved remains at large.
