HUGO, Okla. (KXII) -- One person was flown Tuesday night to a Plano hospital after a two-vehicle wreck in Choctaw County. She later died from her injuries.
The accident happened just after 11 p.m. on U.S. Highway 271, 6 miles south of Hugo.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said Monica Heiss, 51, of Hugo suffered serious head injuries when she failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled out in front of a pickup.
Heiss died from her injuries Friday morning at the hospital in Plano.
The front of the truck struck the driver's side door, causing both vehicles to run off the road.
The driver and passenger of the truck, Wayne Sample, 66, of Boswell, Okla and Clint Pierce, 41, of Boswell, Okla., were not injured.
