SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- Downtown Sherman held its second annual Christmas in July event Saturday.
Local businesses and nonprofit organizations offered all kinds of free activities like bounce houses, face painting and even rides on a train.
It was a way for the community to come together, learn about local businesses and have fun at the same time.
Organizers from Sherman Main Street says the event's main focus was on the children.
"This is Main Street's Christmas in July and this is one of our events throughout the year that is one hundred percent for kids, its free which families appreciate," said Main Street manager Sarah McRae.
Dozens of people took part in the event and organizers hope it will be even bigger next year.
