The Paris Downtown Association's annual evening Christmas Parade is Saturday night.
The parade featuring over 50 floats and groups of performers will march from the courthouse, around the square, all the way to 12th street and back to the courthouse.
Organizers have a "thousand light rule" to ensure every entry is festively lit and marchers will hand out candy to parade goers along the route.
Parade coordinator Kari Daniel says the tradition makes Paris feel like Christmas.
"It's really hard in Texas sometimes when we're running around in t-shirts setting up for the Christmas parade," said Daniel. "But you know, hopefully, when they see the lights, seeing all the smiling faces, everybody's just so happy."
The parade starts at six Saturday night.
