SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) -- The city of Sherman Tourism office announced its Hot Summer Nights 2017 lineup on Tuesday, and you better bring more Cowbell.

Blue Oyster Cult makes its Sherman debut on July 20.

The band, made famous by arena rock hits like "Don't Fear the Reaper," and "Burnin' for You," achieved pop-culture icon status after a Saturday Night Live skit featuring Christopher Walken as legendary music producer Bruce Dickinson pleading for Gene Frenkle (as played by Will Ferrell) to add "More Cowbell" to the song, "Don't Fear the Reaper."

It's current lineup includes Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom, Richie Castellano on guitar, Jules Radino on drums, and Kasim Sulton, who played with Todd Rundgren and Utopia, will play bass.

Trout Fishing in America kicks off the series on June 1. The four time Grammy nominees provide a fun concert, celebrating their catalog, compiled since the group's beginning in 1979.

Trout Fishing in America has celebrated three National Indie Awards, multiple Parents Choice Gold Awards, and American Library Awards

All shows are planned for the Municipal Building lawn. As always, admission is free. Bring lawn chairs.
