KINGSTON, Okla. (KXII) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man trying to pass a semi in a no passing zone caused a wreck that left one woman in critical condition.

It happened Tuesday on U.S. Highway 70, two miles north of Kingston.

Troopers said Austin Pittman, 23, of Waurika went left of center in his pick-up, trying to pass a semi in a no passing zone, and hit another car head-on.

In that car was Chrystal Stepp, 34, of Wilson. She was taken by Air Evac to Plano Medical Center in critical condition.

We're told she was not wearing a seat belt.

No word yet on if Pittman will be facing any charges.
