Diesel spill closes Carter County road over an hour

FOX, Okla. (KXII) -- Highway 76 was shut down for 1 1/2 hours Monday morning after a jack knifed semi started leaking diesel fuel all over the road.

The incident occurred about 8:20 a.m. two miles north of Fox.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said a school bus was stopped on its route, when the semi lost control trying to stop, and jack knifed in the other lane, causing it to dump about 100 gallons of diesel fuel on the road.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews are cleaning up after the incident.

No one was injured.
