SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) -- "I just seen piles of patient paperwork," says an anonymous witness. "There was information on there such as prescriptions, date of birth, socials, patients names."
One of the workers, who wants to remain anonymous, says she found piles of Dr. Diamond's papers thrown into their dumpster Thursday morning.
"Not dumpster diving so I'm not sure what exactly is in there but there is several of them from what I can tell," says the witness. "Full of paperwork, maybe some sharps containers, anything you would normally find at a medical office."
She says she immediately picked up the phone and called Sherman Police.
"They told me they had notified the federal agency about it and they should or may possibly come out and check on it today," says the witness. "There's a lot of stuff going on with him right now and things need to be wrapped up and secured."
On Tuesday, Dr. Diamond was arrested and accused of illegally prescribing drugs that killed seven people and billing the federal government for Medicare patients he never saw. Now his neighbors say the doctor's way of doing business was not only careless with their lives, but also their personal information.
"It needs to be protected so I am concerned someone will come snooping for it or the dumpster coming and taking it," says the witness. "It's your health information and not everyone needs to know that so I'd definitely be upset."
