Drugs land Grayson County man lengthy prison sentence

SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- A Grayson County man was sentenced to 18 years in prison for possessing methamphetamine and endangering a child.

Prosecutors said Ray Meade Jr. was arrested in Bells during a 2016 traffic stop when police officers found methamphetamine in his possession.

Meade skipped his court date for that charge, then beat up a witness who was going to testify against him.

Meade was arrested earlier this month after a traffic stop in Denison.

Police said he had methamphetamine and an infant with him in the truck.
