Fall's first freeze warning issued for Fri. evening

All of Texoma is under a freeze warning for Friday evening.

News 12 meteorologist Wava Denito says all of Texoma can expect a freeze overnight.

"Get ready for the freeze in the morning! A freeze warning has been issued for all of Texoma starting at midnight tonight and will expire 9-10am Saturday morning," Wava says. "We are looking to have morning lows from 27 to 33 degrees."

Don't forget your pets and plants as temperatures drop.

"Today would be the time to prep the outdoor plants and make sure your outdoor pets have a warm place!"

News 12 meteorologist Tom Miller also forecasts a freeze for late Friday.

"Tonight, as surface high pressure settles into Texoma and winds diminish with clearing skies, temperatures will fall to near 30."
