Finley woman killed in one-car wreck

FINLEY, Okla. (KXII) -- A 71-year-old Finley woman was killed Tuesday when she swerved to avoid hitting a dog, lost control of her car and struck a tree.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers responded to U.S. Highway 271, one mile north of Finley, to find a 1998 Lincoln Town Car driven by Carmel Marie Graham had left the roadway after swerving to avoid a dog, crossed a culvert and struck a tree.

Graham was taken via Antlers EMS to Pushmataha County Emergency Room where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Troopers said Graham suffered massive trunk internal injuries, and she was not wearing her seat belt a the time of the wreck.
