The Murray County district attorney who resigned earlier this week following a controversial plea deal is rebutting the victim's family claims that they were not comfortable with the plea arrangement.

In court transcripts David Pyle sent to News 12, the victim's attorney affirms with the judge that the family knew about the plea deal and were okay with it.

However, the attorney did state in a press release to us earlier this week that they were given no other options and that there were no reservations about traveling to testify -- one of Pyle's main reasons for offering the plea.

Attempts to contact Pyle after receiving the court transcripts have not been successful.
