SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- Dayton Evans, 68, of Gordonville, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, 4-200 grams.

Evans pleaded guilty on Monday.

The plea agreement also called for Evans to forfeit his house and car, along with several hundred dollars, and pay restitution for the drug testing.

"This defendant has a history of felony drug convictions and made the smart choice to avoid a jury trial.” Acting Criminal District Kerye Ashmore said. “Individuals who use a house or car in the distribution of drugs should understand those assets are subject to forfeiture."
