HUNT COUNTY, Texas (KXII) -- The Hunt County District Attorney is under criminal investigation for his role in an accident last month that killed an elderly school crossing guard.
87-year-old Christine Sandlin was hit by a car driven by Noble Walker while she was arriving for morning crossing guard duty March 29th.
She died nearly two weeks later in the hospital.
Walker, admitted his involvement to WFAA in a statement Monday.
According to a crash report, it was dark, raining and the roadway was wet.
Witnesses say Sandlin was wearing her reflective vest at the time of the accident.
The Greenville Police Department has handed the investigation over to DPS.
