ICU patient jailed after attacking nurses in Paris hospital

PARIS, Tex. (KXII) - A Paris woman is trading a hospital bed for a jail cell after she attacked several nurses Friday.

Police tell us 42-year-old Tammy Finley of Paris was a patient in the intensive care unit at Paris Regional Medical Center when she pulled out her shunt and sprayed several nurses with blood.

Then officers say Finley pulled out her IV and stabbed a nurse with the needle.

Police took her from the hospital to the county jail.

Finley is facing a charge of assault on a public servant.
