Joe 'Exotic' claims discrimination after being denied escort for late husband's funeral procession

GARVIN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) -- Joe Maldonado, also known as Joe Exotic, says the funeral home in Pauls Valley was denied an escort from the Garvin County Sheriffs Department to the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park.

Maldonado claims in a press release that he is being discriminated against.

He is now asking for bikers in the area to escort the funeral procession of Travis Maldonado.

We reached out to the Garvin County Sheriff's Department, but our calls have not been returned.

Maldonado's husband, Travis, shot himself last week and died in what Exotic calls a tragic accident.
