Love County dispatcher loses house to fire

LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) -- A mobile home was destroyed by fire in Love County on Monday afternoon.

Love County Sheriff Marty Grisham tells us a woman who works as a dispatcher for the Sheriff's office smelled smoke, went to her daughter's room and found the fire.

It happened off Kirkwood Lane and Scenic Highway 77.

Everyone got out safely.

"They've lost their residence, and they've lost all their stuff probably." Sheriff Grisham said. "We talked to the owner awhile ago, and they're just glad that the house can be replaced, property can be replaced, they're just glad that lives were not lost or injured."

The Love County Sheriff's office will be hosting a "Fill the Boot" event Saturday in Marietta to raise money for the family.
