Man flown to Plano hospital after fiery Denison crash

DENISON, Tex.(KXII) -- Police say an RV was on fire before it went off Highway 84, just west of 75, crashing into a creek bed where it burned completely.

The property owner says she heard a loud explosion, then watched as one man rolled out of the burning motor home, then pulled the other man - on fire - from the vehicle.

Investigators are now trying to figure out what caused the crash.

"It seems to be that with the fire, there's going to be some extenuating circumstances with this one," said Lieutenant Mike Eppler with Denison Police. "But it's, again, we'll have to determine that as we go along."

The man pulled out of the wreckage has been identified as 20-year-old Allen Michael Dollar, or Mikey.

He was flown to Medical City Plano and taken immediately into surgery with third degree burns on 30 to 50 percent of his body.

Police tell us the other man was checked and released by medical workers on scene.
