HONEY GROVE, Texas (KXII) -- A man is in jail Wednesday after a high speed chase through Fannin County ended in Honey Grove.

Texas Department of Public Safety officers said it started with an attempted traffic stop around 3 p.m.

The man refused to pull over and the pursuit began heading north on SH 121, and zigzagged east on SH 56.

The chase ended when the man crashed into some woods off Poplar Street in Honey Grove.

Investigators say they will search the SUV and try to determine why the man tried to flee.

No one was hurt.
