CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) -- Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park says he found Jonathan Jones and his girlfriend Deidra Roberts with a flat tire on the side of the road Friday.

Park says Jones attempted to run away but both were arrested. Jones for an unrelated felony and Roberts for harboring Jones.

Police say Jones drove away from officers in Hugo in early July.

Jones led them on a high speed chase, sometimes reaching speeds of up to 140 miles an hour, driving south, eventually into Lamar County.

He crashed his car there and successfully ran on foot from officers and dogs.
