MANNSVILLE, Okla. (KXII) -- A fire broke out Tuesday at Mannsville Elementary School, damaging the cafeteria and sending students home for the remainder of the school week.
The kitchen suffered fire damage, and there is smoke damage throughout the rest of the cafeteria.
Mannsville Fire Chief Derek Gray said he believed the fire was an electrical fire.
All students were accounted for and were evacuated to the baseball field next to the school, and then later moved to the gym.
A parent pick up place was set up by the Johnston County Sheriff's Department.
Gray said it took roughly two hours from the start of the fire to the point it was under control.
Mannsville Schools are working with the Red Cross and Dickson Schools to help to feed the kids and get them back in school as soon as possible.
