Ardmore Jury finds Martin guilty of manslaughter, recommends 40 years in prison

ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) -- Laurie Martin was found guilty of first degree manslaughter on Friday for her part in the death of Chivas Pigee.

The jury recommended Martin serve 40 years in prison.

Laurie Martin was arrested in December 2016, accused of manslaughter for her part in the death of Pigee.

Martin's daughter, Madison Martin, was arrested in November 2016 for killing Piggee, and after a month-long investigation, police arrested Laurie, along with Keenen Wright, and Madison's boyfriend Dalton Waugh on manslaughter charges.

Investigators said at the time of the investigation, they believed Laurie Martin was the ringleader.

Madison Martin and Waugh have already pleaded guilty in the case.
