Medical Examiner rules Denison man's death a homicide

The Medical Examiner's office released a report on Friday stating a man found dead in the office of his Denison business this past October was a victim of homicide.

DENISON, Tex. (KXII) -- The Medical Examiner's office released a report on Friday stating a man found dead in the office of his Denison business this past October was a victim of homicide.

Judge David Hawley said the final report from the Medical Examiner's office states that Robert Dale Allen's cause of death was homicide.

Allen died of two gunshot wounds -- one to the back and one to the chin.

Allen's body was found around 10:30 p.m. on Halloween inside Allen Plumbing off of Spur 503.

Allen's friends said he was well known and loved in the community.

The motive is still undetermined. No arrests have been made. No suspects have been named.

The Texas Rangers and Denison Police are still investigating.
