MARIETTA, Okla. (KXII) -- The names of the two people who died this past week in a house fire on Renick Road were released on Thursday.

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner reports 13-year-old Thomas Cummins and 59-year-old James Cummins died from smoke inhalation.

This past week, Love County Sheriff Marty Grisham reported that a young boy was trying to rescue his disabled father when a fire started in their living room in their trailer home.

The boy tried to get his father into a wheelchair but neither of them made it out in time.

A Love County Sheriff's spokesperson said the fire started from an electric heater.

The house was ruled a total loss.
