GAINESVILLE, Texas (KXII) -- The four-day Medal of Honor Host City Event wrapped up this afternoon and the city of Gainesville thanked the 13 Medal of Honor recipients with a parade.

Hundreds of people lined up along the streets of downtown Gainesville this morning for the Medal of Honor Parade to show their support for some of the nation's top servicemen.

This is the 14th year that America's most patriotic small town holds a parade like this one.

One recipient, James Taylor, has been coming to this parade since it began.

"Gainesville, Texas is the most wonderful, patriotic city I've ever been in in my life," said Taylor. "I enjoy coming here, I look forward to coming here because its just like when your family lives in another state and you come visit every year, well, that's the way with me. To get to come down here and visit with the kids at the schools, that's number one."
